Talking New to site and first bike

Hi all, My name is Eddie' Im 33 and live in North Carolina.
Last summer i got the itch to want a bike. A few people in my family have ridden dirt bikes over the years and i have only been on a bike maybe twice in my life. After a bit of searching online i looked up my local college and signed up for the MSF. I found out very quick that the MSF course is set up like baby steps. you walk it before you run it. Literally. Best class i ever experienced.

Only thing is if anyone takes the class in the summer time , Please do yourself a favor and take LOTS of water. You will lose 10 lbs in water weight in the 3 days lol i kid you not!

I did alot of craigslist searching and looked at so many bikes to make sure i got one that i really felt comfortable with. It was so hard to walk away from a bike that i thought would be great but not for me. My gut feeling led me to the one i did happen to purchase.
About a month ago i found an 03 red and silver f4i. it had a ding in the tank and a scratch on the right fairing from a tip over in a parking lot from the previous owner. It only had 3300 miles. I paid 3400 for it. A marine just needed to sell it instead of let it sit for a year while he was deployed.

I have ridden it maybe 7 times since purchase as the cold weather has put a hold on riding. However the few times i have taken it out have been a wonderful experience. Back roads have been my main riding as they have many curves and the scenery is more peaceful to soak in the experience. Well enough rambling sorry for the book lol . Just wanted to say hi and say thanks for the site. Without it i might still be just a cager lol
