F2's are great bikes. Sounds like you are approaching riding in a sound fashion. Asking for advice, taking it slow, and realizing the benefits of a structured riding course shows more maturity than most.

Just bought a used Shoei helmet for $32.88 + $10.00 shipping off eBay : eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices <----link to listing of the helmet

I think I got a good deal on it, looks like it's in good shape and I'm happy with it for the price! I tried a friends helmet on in size L and it fit good, so hopefully this one does too. If it doesn't I am sure I can get my money back on it.

So now I am looking to get the rest of my gear.

I still need...
Jacket
Pants
Boots
Gloves

Any suggestions would be absolutely great!

I plan to be getting an almost complete set of F3 plastics tomorrow as well, I will sand them down, fix any cracks, and repaint them a nice metallic blue. I am ordering new grips, and some other parts soon as well. Can't wait!

EDIT : I like this jacket...price is right too! Saw this in the gear section, what do people think of this?

If that size fits you id buy that in a hardbeat, 100 bucks for leather is a steal, I paid 150 for my icon Contra (textile) and am really happy with it, but I am saving for a nice leather. For boots I wear a pair of shift high tops. They fit good, offer reasonable protection (unfortunately tried and tested by me!) And they look decent when off the bike
