Talking New rider again after 20 years.

Hello. Well I'm riding again after many years, and I just don't know why I ever stopped. Bought a used 2007 CBR1000rr and I have to say it's a kick in the pants. The bike is 100% stock.... what to do first on upgrades?

Skill levels ! These bikes aren't what we had around 20 years ago.
I'd wait a bit on the modding ...................they are pretty good out of the box.
Time and experience back in the saddle will tell you what YOU want from your bike !

Cool

Hello and Welcome to the CBRF!!! I agree these bikes nowadays are nothing like they were 20 years ago, since mine is 23 years old. I also have another new one less than a year old and WOW what a difference. Maybe a MSF for a refresher course.

Gear up and Ride Safe...

Thank you two for the input and welcome and wisdom. I will hold off on the crazy stuff for some time and feel this bike out... I'm not out to break any land speed records. I do however want to look into removing my stock rear markers lights, tail light, and plate hanger. Any ideas on what looks good to you or works well on the install side of things? And BTW I did sign up for a MSF.. Thanks and nice hooter bike!

I don't blame you on that. I would do the same. Search the 1krr section for fender eliminators. If you can't find what you're looking for, just ask.
