Got my first bike, a 2008 CBR600RR. I am more of a car guy and usually take my cars to autocross and some HPDE, hopefully I can do something like that as soon as I learn the bike.
Also if anyone can point me to a regional forum or group that ride in my area. We have alot of nice roads in western NC and maybe I can at one point ride with some of you guys at "tail of the dragon" in TN.

Hi & welcome aboard!
I echo Indiana's sentiments and recommend you stay away from the "Dragon" till you have at least one year of riding under your belt. It's a road thats not for the faint of heart and has caught many a rider out.
