Also if anyone can point me to a regional forum or group that ride in my area. We have alot of nice roads in western NC and maybe I can at one point ride with some of you guys at "tail of the dragon" in TN.
Hello and Welcome to the Forum... Please, Please stay away from the Dragon. if this is really your first bike. Check out a MSF, Gear Up and Ride Safe....

Hi & welcome aboard!
I echo Indiana's sentiments and recommend you stay away from the "Dragon" till you have at least one year of riding under your belt. It's a road thats not for the faint of heart and has caught many a rider out.
Ride safe and enjoy the forum

Welcome to the site, man. Any pics of the new bike? I bet you're pretty stoked about it. I know I would be.
