Hi guys and girls.
I own a 08' CBR1000RR. Ive had it for almost 2years now. A couple months back i noticed that if i took long trips, it seems that the battery wont charge. Id go to work and back home (which is about 15km) for a month and every time the bike would start. Then id take one trip( say about 60km) and after switching the bike off, it struggles to start after that to the point that i have to push start it. Now knowing i cant ride out of town, i just practice my hooliganism in town and found a new problem ... yay! New problem is this; while riding(pushing quite hard) the engine would just cut out. So say im still moving while the engine just died and i switch the engine cut-off switch to off and back on again most of the time the engine comes alive again.
Has anyone had similiar issues? Ive sorted out a kink in the breather hose, didnt do anything.
Im starting to think i have a short somewhere on the bike or could it be 2 seperate problems?
I have some pics of what my bike looks like now and what i plan on doing after this pandemic and i can get my fairings! 👍🏼Cheers

 

First thing I would do is look into the battery and charging system. They need to be in good working order to supply voltage for the bike systems to work.

 

As demon suggests, run a multimeter check. Check r/r connections for signs of heat damage as well.
