hi guys,
I'm new here from New Zealand. I ride a 2008/2009 CBR1000rr. I've been having trouble with my meter/illum fuse blowing after a couple of hours of riding. Symptoms: fuel light will come on for a bit, even with a full tank of petrol, then the dash will cut off along with speedo, rev counter, tail light and everything else on the fuse circuit, and then my HISS light begins to flash. When i apply the front or back brake, some of the dash lights will come on and then turn off when i release the brake.
Does anyone know the easiest way to diagnose the fault, or is my best bet to trace each wire to see if they are touching anything else?
Cheers

Hi and welcome to the forum Daz, If you have the workshop manual and a multimeter check out pages 21-11 for testing

What CaBaRet says

Also, I'd start with a visual check of the wiring on the bike , paying special attention to the rear brake light circuit.

Sounds like something might be getting hot, expanding and shorting things out.

BTW welcome to the forum
