I've been riding my 2006 DRZ400S on and off road for about 2 years now. The Dual Sport is just not enough for the road. Im looking into getting a new 2008 leftover CBR1000RR. I will be trading my 2008 CRF230L (Paid Off) for $2500 and am getting the CBR for $10000 otd. That should leave me at about $150 a month for 60 months. I think it is a great deal and am happy with the trade. The DRZ will stay around for a while for off road and short trips. What do you guys think, sound like a good deal?

I think I might go for a 600 or an older 1k rather than a brand-new 1k, but that's totally my personal slant on it.

Prolly a lot of people would agree that a new 1k is alot of bike, insane amounts of power and too much for 2 yr rider.

Anyways welcome. Im sure you'll figure out whats best.

Well I didnt get the cbr. The dealer I had the deal with went under. I went there and all the bikes were gone! Honda repoed them all! I found a great deal on a 08' Kawasaki z1000. Still to much for a novice, but it is not as powerfull as a supersport. It has almost the power of any modern 600cc. Still enouf to get me in trouble. This is the bike i have wanted for years now but could not find one. Gonna take it real easy for the first couple 1000 miles!
