I have recently became the owner of a 1995cbr 600 I got it for free and am in the process of fixing it to get it running I am having some issues troubleshooting if someone could give some tips

Pull the spark plugs and squirt a little WD40 in each cylinder. If plugs look good put them back in, if not change them. Flush fuel tank and add fresh gasoline. Pull and clean the carburetors. Maybe install a fuel filter, I know theres not much room under the tank but someone put a Honda GoldWing fuel filter on their 91-98 CBR 600. I'd put a small cheap filter in place until I got it running good then put the GoldWing filter on. Make sure there is coolant in the engine/radiator. Once its running change that out. Same with the oil, if its dirty don't worry about changing it until you get it running, then when it is running change the oil and filter. And finally a good charged battery. Once it running then I'd worry about the chain & sprocket, brakes, brake fluid etc. etc.

 

Also after you get the bike running make new tires a priority.

 

OK so I got the carbs pulled off and they are clean but person who OK had bike before me let ethanol free gas sit in it for like two years and it smells like very bad gas but I'm also having a issue where if I push start button nothing happens no click or anything I might also say it has no plastics my buddy was trying to turn it into like a different style bike but never got around to working on it I have full leds for headlight and turn signals and brake lights as well to wire up on it

 

Try this, turn the ignition on, put it in neutral, side stand up, pull the clutch in and try to start it.
Report back in with your findings, did it start or not?
