I have actually never wrecked one of my bikes, and I am saying gainfully employed because I have been spending all my money paying off college loans... Sucks to have 60 grand in debt.. Guess thats what the going price on a Biochemistry degree from Virginia Tech is now. I have ridden 1000s before just haven't owned my own. Thanks for the concern but most those mods are just to make it look good, I am not going to get any more than 3 HP out of the taylormade with the PCIII. I just want to be able to adjust it if I do any other mods later on... as far as the insurance goes I have a clear record and can get full coverage on the 08 for under 800 per 6 months, have checked it out multiple times. And credit wise. I have good credit, nothing to worry about here. I can understand telling this to someone who is just now getting on a bike, but I have 8 years of riding experience. I am sorry if I came across as someone not knowing what mods to do to a 1000, or anything like that, but I just wanted to see if anyone thought I should do anything else other than what I had in mind.
