It's been a fantasy in the back of my mind for a long time to have a bike that was at least part yellow. I friggen love this bike. I wouldn't kick the blue out of bed or any of the other colors, but I literally just sorta hang out in my garage drinking beer listening to music and admiring it and sighing contentedly. Like I said I thought I was getting a killer deal on a clean bike, then ended up having to do a bunch of work $$ on it so it really took the fun out of it for a few weeks. Unlike every single other used motorcycle Now that I've had one REAL ride on it I'm just kinda basking in the glory of it actually being relatively finished in terms of mechanical stuff.
I just put some cheap aftermarket levers on and lubed everything throttle and clutch. Have full brake rebuild/pads/lines on the way. Doesn't need attention immediately so I'm not gonna do anything that prevents me riding it until there is a foot of snow on the ground.

Ok here's a pic of the levers. They are both like this.
$21 shipped.
The main pivot is ok. The adjustment pivot is pretty sloppy. The bolt is threaded all the way and abraiding on the bushing because it's a sloppy fit. The bottom nut is plastic-lined, but recessed into a ROUND HOLE. There is no way to tighten it except shove a certain size flat-head screw driver in there and jam it against the nut and the perimeter. Both nuts were loose enough they would have fallen off in the first five miles.
But get this - there is a big divot where they accidently drilled the lever-end-bulb-hole for the SHORTY into the long lever!
Either that or it's a highly engineered point of failure so if I drop it, only that tip will break off and I'll still be able to get home.
