Hey, my name is Dan, 26 years old from Long Island NY. I am a new member on this forum and I wanted to introduce myself. I just bought my first motorcycle, a 06' CBR600RR. I rode and raced dirt bikes when I was younger but never got onto the street until now! I can honestly say I am in love with this bike. I have been a car enthusiast for awhile now, but I am starting to consider myself a motorcycle enthusiast as well. I have a lot to learn and I am glad to be a part of this forum. Here are a few crappy pics! Safe ridin!

Thanks a lot! Your bike is insane! Actually, I have been reading your posts about the Two Brothers Carbon Fiber Exhaust. I just purchased one today and can't wait to get it. I got it for $413. You think that was a decent deal? Also, what is the difference between the M2 version and the M5 version? I think the M5 is lager, which I would presume is more quiet. I have done the clear alternatives LED rear turn singnals, and hot bodies front signals. After I do the pipe I probably won't touch the bike for a long time. I really want to concetrate on learning how to ride this thing. Any tips on riding, or mods I should do would be greatly appreciated.

The difference in the M2h and M5h is the outside diameter of the can. The packing and inside diameter of the pipe are the same, 2.25 inches so they sound and perform the same. They make different sizes so you can stick one on a fat busa or the likes and still look ok, ok for a busa.
Sounds like we have the same mods and bike for the most part. The best riding advice I can give is to ride within your skill level and push it slightly as you go. Don't rush into anything or try to keep up with buddies, they will be at the end of the road waiting for you if they are friends.
You're doing things right. Keep the bike like it is until you learn more on it. I will suggest frame sliders. And take the bike to a parking lot and practice slow curves. You'll be surprise at how much you will learn about yourself and the bike as you learn to balance it in slow motion.
PM me anytime for questions or tell me how your riding is going.

Thanks for all the positive feedback, I can tell already this forum will be very helpful. I have been a member on some car forums that basically are flame wars non stop. As far as the riding bug.... I have it bad. I was out the other day and I froze my *** off. With the type of tires that are on these bikes I wouldn't think riding below 50F is a great idea.
