I lucked out. Gas shot up to $4 a gallon, got a small gas saver bike (S40 cruiser & wife remembers how she liked to ride). Economy tanked and makers needed to sell off leftover stock, got to upgrade less than a year later to the V-Star which the wife looooves (less than $8500 out the door new). Got involved in CMA's Fast Lane ministry which focuses on sport bike riders (more our crowd), have a new to me CBR now. All with the wife's okay. God's awesome as is my wonderful wife. 4 years ago... no way!
