Welcome to CBRF!! Congrats on the new bike, it looks great!! I've always been a sucker for chromed wheels and the red sideplates on the chain are a very nice touch.

Check out the 929 section or General Tech for answers to all of your questions about your new love, and since it's your first bike, try and keep it under 150 for the first 1000 miles or so. We'd like it if you stuck around for awhile.

Take care and enjoy the forums.

no, absolutely not ... going fast in a straight line proves absolutely nothing ... I mean where is the skill in sitting there at 150mph in a straight line as you hold on from wind blast?? I have gone fast myself for very short blasts but you soon realise it is pointless and puts you "at risk" .. I prefer a safe but brisk and energetic ride around nice twisties :-)

Nope makes you smart. You go as fast as you feel you can. Thats all. Everyone has there own reason they back off after a certain speed. I do it for the fear of knowing if i fell at that speed knowing i may never see my wife again. My back of speed is near 130. Meaning thats as far as i have pushed it. lol fast enough for me.

Anyways welcome to the forums. Keep the rubber side down.

Welcome to CBRF, mtm!

Very nice 929 you have there..... congrats man.
I think it's a great idea to take it slow, too... you're doing the right thing.
Take her easy, wear your gear, and enjoy the ride!
