Default New here...need LOTS of help

Hello all,
I just got my 1989 CBR 600 and I super love it! After a Ninja 250 it is a lot heavier and alot more power, even in it's current condition. I'd rather be able to get past dangerous situations and it definitely does that but it needs quite a bit of attention. ATM I am re soldiering the ignition switch...not sure if that will solve the starter issue but push starting is a #*@&!! I just got my endorsement as well so, I'm not a seasoned rider and any advice about handling this machine well is definitely solicited! Thank you so much for being here!

Greetings & Salutations !!!

A lot of electrical starting issues is due to start/stop switch that provides power to start-button.
