Welp finally bit the bullet and joined a forum all about the Honda CBR, don't normally join these things but heck its a nice bike and holds a lot of first time biking memories for me.

My Honda CBR125 RW7 registered in 2008 and I'm its 9th owner I think but thats neither here nor there.

Though I've had to stop riding it as for some reason she just won't start, and about 99% sure its the carb with the choke broken and seized in so I also want some help getting it back up and running as well as we can.

Greetings & Salutations!!

That's nice bike.

As test, squirt about 2-3cc petrol into airbox, wait 30s, then start it. Does engine fire up? If so, you've confirmed fuel-delivery issue.

I've done all that and the carb it actually out the bike but believe it or not the bike starts when you put fuel directly into the spark chamber but won't keep going after that fuel is burnt up

Also that choke cable there is completely seized into the carb there

This one doesn't look much better - but maybe you can make a good one between them? https://www.ebay.com/itm/16569766702...Bk9SR9TVkYuPYg

Lots of corrosion on that carb. Spray PB-blaster and let sit overnight. Then scrub with wire brush to remove as much corrosion as possible. Wipe off and spray PB-blaster again. Repeat until all corrosion is gone and you can operate choke cable again.

Most likely this carb will need complete disassembly for restoration, not just "cleaning".
