Default New Guy from Michigan

Whats up everyone! I got a good deal on a 97 CBR 600 F3 so I couldn't resist. I have been riding dirt bikes and quads for as long as I can remember and was just waiting for the right price on a streetbike 600cc or above. I just went to get my temp permit today then went right over and took my roadtest. It was kinda pointless for me to have the temp permit, with the temp you are only aloud to ride with another lisenced rider... Well I don't know anyone with the proper endorsment so the permit does nothing for me. So I just went and took the road test the same day. The only down side that I have run into is that I took my certificate from the road test to the DMV to get the endorsment and they said since I just got my permit today, it wasn't in the computer yet so I have to go back tomarrow to get my endorsment. Oh well... It better not rain in Michigan tomarrow... This will be the first time I have rode a streetbike and haven't had to look over my sholder all day to make sure the cops aren't behind me about to impound my bike! It should be a nice feeling.

Welcome to CBRF!! Congrats on passing your roadtest. Hope the weather holds for you today to pick up your endorsement. Post up some pics of your F3 when you get the chance and stay safe out there.

I got the endorsment and the weather seems to be holding out for me!! I will post some pics soon. I got the bike for $1000 because the guy layed it down in the rain at slow speed and he just wanted a down payment on a new bike. The front left fairing and the rear left fairing are cracked up a bit, but I have already found the complete set on ebay for pretty cheap. I will post some pics soon. I haven't ordered the fairings yet so the pics will be with the busted fairings.

Here is a pic of the ok side.

And here are the reasons why I need all new fairings.

Not only are they cracked up pretty good, but they were spray painted.
I think a fresh set is in order.
