New guy from the frozen north
I viewed the forums earlier this year but just got back now to join. I bought a used, non starting 1993 CBR 600 F2 in June and got it going within a week. (Bad regulator/rectifier burned out the old battery).
I've ridden it on and off and finally put it up for the winter last weekend. I live in Western Canada (Alberta near Edmonton) and the temp is starting to hover at 25 F at night and around 32 F in the day.
I rode before from 1977 to 1984 before I sold my bike (Suzuki GT380) in Germany and let my license lapse. Just got my m/c license back in Julyand have enjoyed the air ever since.
from reading the posts and forums, this is a pretty friendly place. I'm glad to be here.

RE: New guy from the frozen north
Good lord!! Not another Steve!!...lol.
Welcome back to riding Steve and welcome to CBRF!! We're glad to have you. We don't have it so great down here in central PA right now either. It's 22 degrees right at this moment with a light dusting of snow on the ground. [:@]
The F2 is a great bike (see below ) and I see you already encountered one ofit's weak links (the R/R). Luckily that is one of the biggies along with the CCT. Other than those, theygenerally are problem free if maintained properly.I'm sure you'll be happy with her. Post up a pic or two of the old girl when you get the chance.
Take care anddon't be afraid to post often. This is a veryfriendly place with a ton ofgreathelpful, knowledgable, and fun people. See you around...
