Sorry, I had just been making a nice wee video of snow in the UK and got myself all wound up ... then it crashed and I lost all the work I had done so far, I was about to pick up the mouse and shatter it against the wall for a feeling of satisfaction but decided that might be short lived as I have no spare ... anyway have this pic for now from my mobile phone until I can get this thing together without having a tantrum ...arrrgghh!!
I seem to be completely inept today and fel really wound up!!

The snow is much deeper than it looks and we are well frozen up too ...

and our canals have frozen up solid

Is the whole canal system frozen solid? It would be cool as hell to be able to ice skate from town to town. That happened to one of the local creeks here when I was a child (late 70's), and it was safe enough that you could skate all the way into town. To my knowledge, it has never been like that since.

 

and the lock gates are frozen solid ..one is frozen open!!

 

I could ice skate all the way to the next village and beyond!!
