IT'S IN THE BAG I HAVE PASSED!

My test was supposed to be on monday, but on the ride over to the test centre me and my instructor rode into a really dense bank of fog. It was hanging over the test centre and the examiners cancelled the morning's tests because of it. We got back to the riding school to find that there was a cancellation avaliable for tuesday morning. Cue a mad dash phoning around trying to arrange the time off work; eventually got something arranged but my boss now essentially owns my soul for the christmas period...

I passed with only 2 minors, despite completely going to pot with nerves. I stalled the CBF500 for the first time ever whilst on test. Whilst moving too, but I checked my mirrors, restarted the bike and eased her back into gear without stopping or putting a foot down. Sneaky sneaky!

Now I can get one of these puppies;

I bought myself a naughty optimistic pass present at the NEC bike show on sunday;

Which I went out for a little ride in today (without my L-plates on) and well... the levels of attention you get are definately different! I had male car drivers cruising along in my blind spot on the highway looking at my backside. I wouldn't have minded so much expect for when other vehicles were joining the flow of traffic from an adjacent slip road and I could really have done with being able to shift across to make space.

I need a faster bike so they can't keep up with me I think

Congrats!

What do you expect? That suit has a great rear end without anyone even in it!
I think I'd prefer that over lingerie on a woman.... No draggin knees in a teddy.

Seriously, that's a really nice suit.

What does passing that allow you to do? Is that the last test?
I'm not familiar with UK licencing....

You see, thats why I bought it! I looked at it and thought 'yum!'. I did consider that people might give me a bit of a look in it. It didn't even occur to me that people would openly gawp at me whilst doing 70mph though!

Eyes on the road for pete's sake!

Now I can ride anything that I can afford to buy and insure. I could get a Blackbird... if I could touch the floor

I'll likely got for a 600F for manageability's sake

Have a good time shopping. It can be a chore to find the right bike but it can be fun too! :-)

That's a great suit. I've seen a few of those in person. They are made very well & are top quality.

The first of the cold weather here in the uk this week.....its not even worth "chancing" riding either first or last thing at the moment or "Petal" could end up needing some cosmetic surgary. Enjoy your riding Heather and theres loads of fun ahead.

Thanks Gotcbr! I only wish I'd done all this sooner I'm excited about having a go on something a bit beefier in due time. So far the biggest and fastest I've done is a CBF500 at just shy of 80mph. Why do people ride unfaired bikes!? I felt like I was going to get peeled off the seat by the wind resistance!

Unfortunately Wes she's my little commuter; all I seem to do at the moment is riding first and last thing. I'm going in to work before the sun rises and returning home after sunset. Frosty and bitterly cold! At least it's all through the city so its not fast or twisty.

The thought of our Pet getting her pretty little orange fairings all scratched and beaten isn't a cheery one though
