Default New from GA

Hey what’s up everyone. Just picked up a 96 f3. Traded it straight up for an 01 shadow 750. Love it. I’ve wanted a sport bike from the beginning, but I was itching to get riding and some dude offered to trade the shadow for the 99 s10 I had at the time. Either way, I’m here now and I love the bike. Not too keen on the paint job though lol.

Nice, welcome. I'm also new here with my CBR600RR. It's going to be my new daily ride while my Triumph Daytona 675R gets some work done. I'm in Georgia also in the Stockbridge area if you want to cruise together after all this Corona craziness passes.

Welcome! I kinda like the paint!

And NOW is the time to cruise! So much less traffic on the road!

Hell yeah man I’m totally down. I’m in Columbus. I don’t know many people around here to cruise so that’d be cool. There’s also apparently a nice road to ride in Pine Mountain. I haven’t checked it out yet tho. There’s a couple of vids on YouTube about it tho. Seems legit.

Don't get me wrong, its honestly a really well done paint job. It’s just not my style! I’m more of a matte black murdered out kinda guy.
After tearing her down and looking her over, there’s lots to be done! Needs a new tensioner, there’s chatter in the high revs. Switching to a manual one. Ordered new clutch cable and cable adjuster. Replaced the worn out discolored grips. Replaced the broken windscreen. The PO had it lowered about 6 inches front and back, and had the suspension set to full stiff everywhere. It was terrible. Raised her back up and got the suspension setup oh so nicely. Could use some new pads and rotors. I flushed the brake system as well. There’s no fuel pump on it. Just gravity fed ATM. Causes a slight sputter only when you barely roll the throttle. Other than that it doesn’t really affect it that much. Still going to replace it.
The REALLY cool mod that was done is the F4 gauge conversion. Some other stuff too. Routine maintenance and such. I love working on bikes and cars, so more for me to do! Ha.
