Default Need help with cbr600f 2000

Good day i bought a accident damage bike and want to fix it .It start and drive 100% but as soon as i open the throttle it doesnt wants to rev up .Sounds like a limiter .I am testing it with no clocks so dont know on what revs the problem is but if i guess its about 3500 -4000rpm.it is very smooth on low rpms

I'll be watching this with interest. I picked up an 88 a few months ago, does the same thing. I can ride around back roads all day at low speed but it bogs at higher rpm and won't go above 60 on the highway. I haven't done anything with it yet because it isn't high on my list of projects to get done.

Probably isn't a limiter but some kind of fuel flow issue. Could be jetted too high, could be running out of fuel. You might start by dropping the bowls off the carbs and checking the jets and making sure there isn't anything clogging up any of the works. That's a pretty easy fix and if you don't change any adjustments it's pretty hard to mess anything up in there.

By the way, just so you know, a 2000 isn't a 600F but rather a 600F4. Will help you find what you need more effectively.

Hi, I think your problem could lay with your Air Solenoid, on the DAI system ,when the bike reaches a certain speed, 20mph I think ,the solenoid starts to work directing the air, there is a connector from the Air solenoid to the clocks ,2 pin , that tells the solenoid to work, as you don't have any clocks on it wont work, try taking out the solenoid and joining the two pipes together that come from the front of the bike and see what happens

Default Just bought CBR600F.

I've bought my bike and I'd love to know if there's any way I can ride my bike with an A2 licence! I don't want to leave it sitting until I do my full A. It's supposed to be a 600F X but the Honda dealer told me it's a 600F Y and that it wasn't actually made in 2000. I've been told that these bikes used to be able to be restricted but now they can't? Help anyone! My new monster !

As an aside, since your post has little to nothing in common with the guy who started this thread, start your own next time. It's a pretty painless procedure, I promise.
