My first pillion ride was on the back of a friend's RD250LC in 1983 & 3 weeks later I had bought my own RD250LC. I was hooked... Here's a list of all bikes owned (earliest to latest):
I had a real aversion to buying (or even overly liking) Honda for many years.
I was both myopic & wrong.
In 2021 I bought my first ever Honda...a CBR954 RR. WHAT a phenomenal machine! So light, so much fun!
In late July 2021, I bought a 2014 Blade. 18k kms Yoshi PC5 Braided lines Tinted Screen
My new Blade is easily the best bike I've owned...but is it also the most fun? Hard to say. My first bike, the smokey stroker was an awful lotta fun. The R6 was fun personified. The 954 never failed to make me smile.
Now I want a fleet of Blades. 1998 CBR900 RR (919) SC33 2001 CBR900 RR (929) SC44 2004 CBR954 RR (954) SC50 2014 CBR1000 RR SC59
Restore them to mint, have them parked in the loungeroom, when not out on the road, tearing **** up
My first ever Honda: (why did I wait so long) Maudsland, Queensland, Australia 22 April 2021
Welcome to the forum and thanks for the detailed intro + pics! Perfect! That color scheme is beautiful!!!
My "resume" is A LOT shorter! lol
Was fascinated with sport bikes and muscle cruisers in my early 20's (waaay back in the early/mid '90s). Had absolutely zero knowledge but subscribed to a couple of mags for a year or two. Never made a move and, after subscriptions ran out, literally never gave it another thought for about 25 years. Flash forward to me going for my first ever eye exam at age 49 and having the doc tell me my "above average" eye sight was now (gasp!) only "average". Hit me that despite my health and fitness, I was actually getting... old! Next thought was that if I didn't get my MC license now, I probably never would. Promptly signed up for a class, bought a little Ninja 300, and rode the heck out of it for a year. Found an unreal deal on a barely used '06 F4i and have been riding that for the last 3 1/2 years. Just added a CRF230M to the mix in the hopes that the wife and/or daughters might be willing to learn. No takers yet but I'm enjoying the hell out of it!
