Welcome to CBRF Stygian!! I can honestly say that I really like the colors of the phoenix design and would be proud to ride around on something that looks like this...
You must take my opinion with a grain of salt, though. I am rocking a black, purple, and pink bike at the moment. :-P
The experience with dirt bikes should help you on the road, but there are some significant differences too. I would recommend looking into some sort of motorcycle safety course if I were you. It will help hone your road skills and most likely reduce your insurance costs as well.
Take care and enjoy the forums and pics are simply a must if you pull the trigger on the phoenix edition RR.

Holy crap. I just looked at the 09 600rr's, and the phoenix is the only one that isn't vomit-inducing. WTF is with that green one?
Unfortunately, the Phoenix one looks like the shirts all the douchebag Eastern European guys with the spikey hair where to the clubs all over Chicago, so I'd look like a comeplete tool riding it around this town.
