Howdy,
This bike has been rock solid, no complaints, except for maybe a lack of power (!). A buddy of mine showed me The Way of the Road Warrior on my first long distance ride from Seattle to Monterey for Laguna Seca 2004. And we didn't need no steenkin' hotels or motels for two weeks. We both burned up a set of tires as we tore up Highway 1 all the way down and back, until we detoured over to Crater Lake, Oregon on our way back to Seattle.
I haven't found a newer bike that I must have. Yet.
