Default To Laguna Seca I go.......

As some of you forum veterans know, I posted a while back that I signed up for the California Superbike Class about a year ago. This particular class is at Laguna Seca. (I can barely type.......I'm shaking with so much anticipation ) Well, my class is on Monday, and I fly out tomorrow afternoon to San Jose, California, and pick up the rental car (Dodge Caliber) to drive an hour and a half to Monterey, California to stay at a hotel 8.2 miles from Laguna Seca.

When I get on the track, I'll probably be so overwhelmed that I'm actually able to have the opportunity to ride a bike on this incredible track...........I'll probably secretly cry in the helmet. I mean, this is LAGUNA SECA! One of the worlds most technical, best known race tracks...........and I'll be able to race on it! (sort of).

I'll be riding a track-prepared Kawasaki ZX-6R that the school uses (better their tires than mine). I'm also using their leathers and helmet (better theirs than mine again.) If I crash in their leathers, it only costs me $150........not $1000 for my own.

So, when I get back on Tuesday night (well, EARLY Wednesday morning) I'll post up some pics and videos of my trip to Laguna Seca. You guys won't be disappointed, trust me.

Wish me luck.

Is this the school with Keith Code and Doug Chandler?

Edited to say that'd I'd probably wet myself once there.

Kinda weird... the guy that bought my dads old 1970 AMX back in 1976, still races it at Laguna Seca to this day, heh
