Hey everyone! I'm new to the street bike scene and was needing some help. I've been looking into getting a cbr and at first I really liked the 250 that just came out but then I found around the year 2000 600 for around 2-3 grand. I don't know if a 600 would be a horrible starting bike. I've been doing some reading and heard a few people say I should stick with the 250 for now because I may never grow into the 600 if I started on it. The 600 just makes more sense on my wallet but then again maybe the 250 will be more available used by the time I get the money saved up over the summer. I am 17. Ok this is going to be your first street bike. 600 is not to big to start on. I would take a MSF. Also I tell everyone that asks me about buying there first bike is to buy a used one. You are going to lay it over. Maybe not at 60mph, not at 20mph, just moving it around. You will lay it over.

 

I definitely planned on used but to get a used 250 I'd have to import it and don't really wanna mess with that lol. Ok so say I am to go with the 600 whats a good and fairly cheap year to go with? I did have full intentions on taking the MSF course.
