Just got my 2004 F4i
Been on here for about a year researching and reading about riding on the street. Just bought my first street bike, 2004 F4i. Oh, I am a huge Honda fan, lol. This is my first bike, but I have riden baha/dirt bikes back where I grew up. Just a little of experience. I know I still have alot to learn. I am already signed up for my safety course and have some friends that have been riding for years. Theyhave been giving me advice and aregoing to help learn how to ride on the street. I have been practicing at slower speeds in the parking garage under my building to get a feel for the bike.
Also, on a second note. Been trying to figure out what type of jacket, gloves, and boots I should get. What do you guys recomend? Oh, do you guys recommenda type of ridingpants?
Any advice is greatly appreciated, I just want to be a safe rider. I am not some young punk, I'm a 27y/o.
If this helps at all, I race cars legally (not professionally). Extremely against street racing! Been on road courses, raced in auto cross, legally sanctioneddragstrips, and have driven (not ride along)an Indy car at 150mph on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Thanks in advance.

RE: Just got my 2004 F4i
hey man, i'm also a new member... just bought my fourth bike but first honda (929). As far as gear I bought a mesh textile jacket and an insulated Icon jacket. Can't beat having options to choose from for different weather conditions. Leather is nicer, but too heavy IMO for my small bones (5'7 145lbs). Gloves... I looked around to find something with gel padding in the palms to make the longer trips more comfortable. I would tell you what brand they are but they're all the way in the garage . For pants myself and all my buddies just wear jeans. Never felt skilled enough to justify sporting the racer tights haha...
