Just bought my first bike! (VA Native)
Hello to all! Last week I became the proud owner of a 1987 CBR600F Hurricane. I got it for a decent price and primarily got it to learn how to ride. I had a bad ATV accident (fractured collar bone and face was MESSED UP lol) as a kid which has made me fearful of hopping on another vehicle even similar to an ATV. So what made me decide to get a bike? Well, I feel like I need to get over this fear. I've ridden my buddy's Virago and pretty much fell in love with riding.
I told myself I was just going to use this bike to learn how to ride, but I have to be honest...I'm already getting attached to this bike! At first I wasn't planning on fixing the cosmetics at all since I was upgrading in a few months, but I don't know...this bike definitely has some potential I think.
I'm new to the motorcycle world and would love to learn! My bike's front brake doesn't work and I need to find a place with decently priced replacement parts. I need side mirrors, turning signals (Front and Back), and tires. If anyone knows a place, help me out please!

Welcome to CBRF!
Congrats on getting your 'Cane.
Do NOT ride your bike til you have front brake. As most of the braking is up front on sport bikes, its critical that you have reliable front stopping power.
I recommend taking the MSF Course Motorcycle Safety Foundation. If you haven't already, check into it. Its a valuable course that teaches safety & basic riding technique. Fundamentals for safe riding are valuable & knowledge builds confidence.

Chambers- Yeah most definitely. Nova drivers are reckless lol
Gotcbr- I ordered the Haynes Manual today actually, I definitely don't plan on riding my hurricane any time soon. I plan on fixing my front brake first, then getting the parts I'm missing (signals and mirrors). P.S. If anyone is selling these, let me know!
