Howdy Y'all.
Thanks. I love it.
As for the 'pegs', I think you're referring to Frame sliders. Either that, or you're talking about Bike Stand Spools. (those screw into the swing arm and front forks)
I plan on both, it's just a finance thing. I'm pushing my budget and my wife is ready to snap as is. (I'm supposed to be putting every dime I have into a savings account for a house, but I'm diverting a few bucks a month for this bike. Mostly because the gas costs for my F150 will kill me this summer. That and, the gas costs pay for 'most' of the bike payment anyhow, so it's like getting a bike for 1/3 the cost...
)
I fully expect the flush mount front signals to be worthless as far as visibility. For what's going on in front of me, I figure my brain and my judgement are better tools for avoiding a collision in an intersection....

Oh, and I wouldn't put the Ninja 250 in a 'clunker' category. They are quite zippy in their own right; I am only about 140 lbs and when I would crank that motor up to 12k in every gear, it got moving in a HURRY. I'm sure this 600 will have much more power, but I don't discount any of the Ninja 250 riders I've known; many could easily push the limits of what was safe on public streets just the same as riders of the bigger sport bike brethren. Honestly, if Kawasaki hadn't failed at the aesthetic redesign for 2008, I'd have bought a new 250 instead of this 600. For an enjoyable commuter bike first, sporty recreational bike second, I was always quite pleased with my 2005 250. (even if it was butt ugly. LOL)

damn sharp lookin bike E. i've got the flush mounted signals on the front of 929 and i'm not sure how much i like them. i don't think they're very visible to oncoming traffic. i replaced the itty bitty signals on the back with OEM's i found on ebay. i might do the same for the front. what do they call those little "pegs" that keep you from wrecking your cases if you drop it on the side? those are a nice addition.. i have some on mine. my buddy just bought a 2006 600f4 and it fell off the kickstand and scuffed his clutch case and back cowl piece..he's in the same boat as you though.. went from a clunker bike.. shadow or some POS and now has a 600 although not a RR and he loves the extra power.
