Default howdy!

What's up guys?!

Just bought a 91 cbr1000f off a friend a week ago. Its my first bike :s
She needs some work but $300 was worth it. I've never worked on a bike but plenty of four wheelers and cars. It wasnt running for him but i cleaned the carbs and pieced together whati could that he had taken off. Its running now. I believe i have some vacuum issues but yhats minor detail atm.

Look forward to chatting with u guys!

Welcome to the CBR Forum,

Your first bike huh? Well wear All The Gear All The Time (ATGATT) and take it easy out there. The CBR1000F may be a grand old lady in the scheme of things but she still has enough power to get you into serious trouble.

Are you planning to restore or streetfighter her?

Have you done any rider courses?

Cheers, SB

I think I'm gonna 50% street fighter some of it because the fairings are in rough shape and as far as I seen so far I can't afford to buy new fairings. And yes granted it was when I was 16 I got my license for it. If u mean like training/safety course's no. I know there much different but I have ridden dirtbikes.
And atgatt always man. Im to young to risk never be able to ride again. Iv actualy had 4 deaths just this month in my area from rockets, I learned from them.

Good for you - sounds like you'll be careful. And you will find your dirt riding does actually translate to road pretty well.

It still would be worth following up a rider course when you can. Generally dirt bikes can't do 250 km/h

Cheers, SB

Welcome to CBRF... I think a 50% fighter on a 1000f would be cool... Looking forward to seeing what you do with it...
