Howdy Cousins!
Hello Everyone,
I bought my '04 CBR 1000RR about 3 weeks ago and have been lurking on this site since then. I already have the bike in pieces in the garage doing the flapper mod, exhaust valve mod and oh yea, putting heavier springs on the shocks (notice my screen name? I ain't kidding).
I really like this bike. I've wanted a sport bike since I took a riding school at the local track and my recent trip to Deals Gap turned it into a craving that had to be satisfied. My other bike is an '02 BMW K1200RS and it's an awesome bike! But... it's a sport touring bike. Not a true sportbike. I've always liked the CBR and when I found one that was priced in my range, I grabbed it. No regrets. Except that I don't have a bucket of money to spend on it. Ohlins, Sato, Power Commander. They're all on the wish list. And that's just a sample.
I highly recommend a trip to North Carolina to ride the Dragons Tail to everyone. Great roads, beautiful country, nice folks.
Well, that's it for now. Supper is ready.
Hope to have a long list of mods to add soon. I've already learned a lot from you guy's.
