No, it will not run without the ecu.

Oh I didn’t know if it’s like a car engine where you can plum it all in and it will run as it’s carburetor engine still

UK designation is a CBR600F X or Y depending upon the year either 1999 or 2000. Probably FX as it has the T reg. But in reality there were identical. The first of the CBR600's having the alloy frame but still with the carbed engine. From 2001 they had injected engines.

oh ok so it’s FX then as it’s 1999.

how old dose a bike need to be to be classic these days.
you have a lot of knowledge I appreciate it.

The 600 is a good bike I had Yamaha genesis years ago would of liked to have kept that now.

Ha, a mere 40 years to be tax and mot exempt if that is what you are getting at by meaning a classic. Of course we all consider the CBR's to be classics already

Lol I’ll probably be dead before that happens then lol.
well it is getting on a bit I think it should be saved it don’t look that bad but we will see Monday when I pull it out the scrap and get it back to work.
first thing I’ll do is check the key, it works in the ignition I checked it

Hi guys. Got the bike this is where we are at. What’s missing to get this started.

the lock and key in the picture is opening all locks on the bike so original key not sure about the ecu though
