Honda CBR 600 f4i 2004
bought this bike a month ago as a project. I alway dream about this type of bike.
no fuel pump prim, the owner said h just change the harnes, i bought a new rectifer, n zena dioed, check the pluges, tested the relays. Got it started once and turned it off. Now it would only crank but no clicking at the relays. And get this with the relays remove it will still crank.
i was only fiddling with the wires when it start that time . I took out the harness and test them but found no breakes. The roads was just repaved and i want to rie this baby. I cant get useing the 9v with the recomnded zena diode oh another i tryed another ecu.
i think he horness wire was moderfied. am in bad ne of help .

You also need a good spell-checker - try installing https://app.grammarly.com/
What makes you think the harness was modified? Replacement harness are available on eBay - for example https://www.ebay.com/itm/05-06-CBR-6...EAAOSw8-RforSt

Check for a broken ground. I had a guy with the same problem a month or so back and I found a broken ground that he had going to the fairing stay bolts. I'm not sure that that's where it was supposed to be , but it should be in that area on the left where the harness is.
Thank you for the replies.I will be on that first thing tomorrow morning if I live because this got my brains boiling. Can you imagine I have been on this from 7am -7pm..no lunch break and it still kick my can all over the place.
Right now my neutral light cut off and the whole bike shut down. The bike is not in gear, its in neutral physically.been riding since I was 17yrs. But I made some advances today by changing the zener diodes to a 3.7 and it gave me the 9Vs I was seeking, then the whole bike went dead. All fuses are good.
Another thing, does anybody have a picture showing the harness wire ECU connections with all the colors showing or wire diagram? I live in the Bahamas and there were only 2 bikes on the Island and the next one is recked,am thinking the original owner had bought this harness locally from the recked bike.
Thanks once again.I will be at it again tomorrow because its time to ride.

I signed up to download the document but site can't be reached,I will continue trying.
Today I checked the ground wires on the left side of the frame including the yellow box. all red 2ohms.I also added a few more grounds to the frame,in doing so, I was back to square one.
I decided to removed the harness wire for the second time, maybe something I missed. I then discovered that some of the wires are really stiff and not so flexible.
I believe this could be my problem because of what I know about Voltage(Voltage is the push of current) These wires could be causing the restrictions of the flow.
So tomorrow if life lasts, I will be replacing these wires. These wires run from the battery side to the key switch area.(Fuel pump relay wires and Ignition relay wires).
7 to 7 if need be because there are no Motor bike repair shops on this Island and am going to be doing the repairs myself. With every ones' help, am going to ride this.

Good day all. Just to update everyone I didn't have a chance to work on the old girl for two days now, just doing research and taking notes. i'm still waiting on the link for the manual. Tomorrow life last after work i would be back checking her nerves system. I think either it's broken wires or the ECU. Something I forgot to mention, this bike started once. it's a UK harnass wire and a regular key but not a key with a chip and it has an American ECU,that's why I think this case is hard to crack but with the help of the people in this group I think we can do it, once it's working the information will be handy and helpful for all.
