Hi folks
new to this forum, new to Honda’s, new eyes on an old bike.
I’ve picked up a 2001 CBR929RR, it’s at the shop getting a once over before I take it home to strip the road bits and put her on the track.
i’m keen to hear from anyone with specific experience on this, the bike is stock with the exception of a Micron slip on ( pretty sure it’s not a complete system, it’s getting a KN air filter, new tyres, 520 chain conversion, major service inc valve check, new battery fluids etc.
Once I’ve done a couple days on it, I’ll upgrade the springs and valves and the rear shock will be upgraded and probably a dampener.

Things I’m curious about are many, does removing the headlight create higher a charge rate to the battery rectifier or can these run on a total loss system.. I know a little about motors and electrics, enough to get into, and sometimes out of trouble 😎

Last thing I raced was a GSX1100 powered roadrace sidecar, back in the late 80s.
Current bikes BMW K1300R, Suzuki GSX750s4 katana
