Hello and welcome!
Its Balance. It will come with experience.
Also get some Frame sliders if you have not already.

Are there a good set of no-cut frame sliders for the '07 cbr600? I can't really find a place where you coudl stick two poles between the fairings...

Couple of things, Mike. First of all, welcome to the site...you'll have a lot of fun here. Second, you need to get comfortable with your clutch. That is the key to riding well at slow speeds. Slow speeds have less to do with breaks and throttle than they do with clutch. The balance thing will come in time or if you do the smart thing and practice in a parking lot until you feel better. Also, I wouldn't recommend the no cut sliders...they just don't have the protection of say the Vortex sliders. It sounds intimidating to drill your new plastics, but it will be worth it. Here are a couple of write ups for you...glad to have you here.
