Default Hi There!

Here's to joining the CBR forum, I think i'm going to be chatting with you guys quite a bit over the winter. Last august I bought myself a garage full of F2 CBR600 stuff, all legal, and looking to build myself 2 bikes out of the vanload of parts I got. Number one is going to be a roadbike, cafe racer style, and the other will be a sprinter ( project for me and my two sons).
Just to show progress, the roadbike is being done first, hopefully on the road in the spring. Current spec (it may change as i build it, being a product designer for a living means things tend to continually evolve in my care) is as follows
'94 F2 engine and frame.
F2 front forks and wheel,, F3 rear wheel
Ducati monster seat
Aprillia Falco fairing
Exhaust? but sounds good
Frame metallic charcoal powder coat, Wheels mid gold powder coat
Speedo chinese SS182 digital thingy (got original clocks but wont fit in the fairing)
Enduro tail light assembly

I think it works!- the red paint is matt vivid red from a professional graffiti paint supplier in Cardiff, very very red when in daylight.
I have been riding for 30 years now, but this is my first CBR, and I am well impressed with the build quality and engineering. Lets see how it goes!

Hey Marky, welcome.

Those fairings blend really well on the bike and the seat unit looks very good as well.

The street fighter/cafe racer bikes are coming thick and fast!

Thanks for the comments! the seat unit really needed some surgery on the underneath of the base for it to sit properly, and the three light headlight unit on the aprillia fairing takes up a lot of space inside the shell, but these things can be sorted. Would an early model 600 horned front mudguard fit on my forks? just thinking....

I rather think that may have been lurking in my subconscious when I started!
