German Police are appealing for information leading to the arrest of a bike-hating boobytrapper who's been lacing bends with oil and gravel.

There's been a spate of what are thought to be deliberate oil spills at critical points on popular biking routes, with one rider being fatally injured as a result, says Motorrad.

The latest incident involves thick gravel strips strategically placed across both carriageways in three corners. It comes just a fortnight after it emerged several riders had been hurt after riding into ****** wire strung at chest height across trails in a German forest.

That's just CRIMINAL

 

Now i know people hate us but dang... this is taking it to a whole new level...

 

There is a guy who thus far hasnt been caught that has been a assaulting mtb racers here is st louis .. on and off for a few years now. trails are in a state park mind you. some people

 

Yeah, we are an easy target if someone sets their mind to it. On the old Pacific highway, North of Sydney (section of highway bypassed by freeway), always been a popular week end road for riders, some locals where getting upset that their week ends getting noisy from all the bikes (I blame Ducati & Harley riders ), So they started putting gravel on bends & some even resorted to letting water run from their dirt drives onto the road. As a response, the government resurfaced the road with bitumen & gravel to discourage its use, a real lose, lose for everybody.

 

We had the same problem this year on our local MTB trail - right after the cops busted a bunch of highschoolers that were continuously smoking weed and trashing up a particular section of the trail.

Apparently they got pissed and thought the trail users were the ones that ratted em out. We didn't, but if we could have ever caught any of them booby trapping the trail, they'd have wished the cops were there to haul em off again.
