Default Hi guys

Hi guys. Im new to this forum and to the cbr. I just bought a 94 900rr from a friend of mine. He bought it as his first bike a few months back. It was in mint condition. He wrecked it a couple weeks ago and now he is scared to death of it. He sold it to me for dirt cheap, but it needs all new plastics and some minor electrical work done to it. I have been on bikes my whole life. I currently also own a bike I am almost finished rebuilding. Its a 90 yamaha fzr600 with a 95 yzf600r motor swingarm and front end. I also put a 2001 r6 tailend on it. I was thining about putting a ducati 748 nose fairing and lights on it until I came across this 900rr. SO I am going to finish up the rebuild on the fzr and sell it so I can buy my wife a bike by the end of winter. Oh yeah, and get this cbr looking as good as it runs too!!!

Well, this is what it looked like after I did the r6 tail swap. This pic is pre yzf motor front end and swingarm. Oh yeah, I also painted the frame black metalic. This gives you a decent idea about how it looks though. I will take some new pics once I finnish the completer rebuild and paint.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I always liked the FZR600's, since riding a friends 1994 for a while. That one looks cool, especially with the R6 tail.

I am currently putting together a 1997 900RR, that some one else took apart. If you can get a manual for it, it will help a lot. Of course, the people on this forum have helped me a bunch as well.

Good luck with the new 900RR project.

OH yes, I will have a clymers manual shortly. I know a good bit about bikes just not the specifics about the cbr. I am going to be taking classes from mmi starting next semister if everything goes as planned with my job. Been working and riding bikes since i was tiny.
