GET SOME GEAR! That is oneof the most important things. A 250 is a great bike to learn on, just take it at your own pace and always respect your machine. Welcome

Welcome aboard, and great choice of bike to learn on. As Mauth said gear is great, take your time, and find a place thats comfortable for you. Dont go jump on the freeway day one, find an empty parking lot, or a quiet street somewhere and just tool around a bit, get used to the bike. Also if you think you arent as strong in some areas say braking or sharp turns, again dont be afraid to go somewhere off the beaten path and just practice those manuvers. Best of luck to ya .

Yes there is, you have to do that before you can actually get your licence. which i passed.

its just the fact that i always get a little nervous when i jump on a bike and head out onto the road with a little adrenaline.

is this a normal feeling forsomeone who just started out?

Don't get in over your head. Don't let your friends push you into trouble. Here in the states we have classes for rider training. Perhaps you can find one there too. Be safe.

Nothing wrong with feeling a little nervous when you go out. I’m sure this is because you are aware of how vulnerable us bikers are.
Look after your bike and enjoy yourself, you’ve years of riding ahead so no need to rush things.
Best of luck mate.
