Welcome to the forums and to riding.
Be sure to cruise through "new members" for tips for beginning riders and the how-to "riding skills".
You'll find a lot of good advice that will help you avoid the classic "rookie" mistakes
and enhance your learning curve. Keeping you safe and (hopefully) crash-free, till you
begin to get the feel for your bike.
#1 rule...Speed kills! Always keep a safe margin between what you're doing and what you think you can do.
Ride safe and congratulations on your graduation, Ern
