Default hey you louts, Steve from new Zealand!

I just picked up a 89 cbr 1000f, was a barn find covered in bird**** and hay for 6 or more years! I've spent the last two weeks polishing, unseizing the clutch/ hydraulic cylinders and a bunch of other cleaning/adjusting! Took it out yesterday and clocked up 270kms goes very well! I should have kept before and after pics.

Wow, great find indeed. Looks like you've put a lot of love into her already. They do have a comfortable seat. I picked mine up in Minneapolis, WI and rode to Ft. Lauderdale in S. FL over two days. It's a great way to get to know a new bike. Welcome to the forum.

Wonder how many of us in New Zealand there are on here? I have a similar story soon to be posted (rescued after 10 years in a lockup garage after a minor put down). Have modernised mine as fairings were stuffed.
