Default hey guys

hey my name is Greg i just bought a 929 and had a few questions i started it up yesterday let the temp get to about 140 then rode it around for a few and brought it back cuz its still cold here in illinois. My question is when i brought it back the oil in the sight class looked a little milky and im thinkin it might be because of moisture in the oil because it was cold outside or is it somethin i should worry about??

The milky apperance is most likely water, well, moisture in the oil. It's common in colder climates. Just change the oil asap to make sure it's good and let her run for a while. If the bike is kept in a cold place and you start it for short periods of time... expect the milky look to come back.

That all depends on how the last owner treated her. What year is it? Don't think 24k miles is high, I have 16k on my 05. We have a guy here that's rolled the odometer over.

+1...I've heard of oil being milky and not being able to find a crack in the heador a headgasket leak, but keep an eye on the coolant level, if it drops a little or if the oil gets milky again, there may be a situation you need to attend to.
