I have a 95 F3. I let it run out of fuel a while back and it started " starving" for fuel. It would run a little better with the choke on but not much. I ordered a rebuild kit and went thru the carbs. I've rebuilt several sets with a good outcome. The bike is doing the exact same thing even after taking them back off and checking them. It revs fine sitting still but after about a quarter mile I have to cut the choke on and it barely gets me home. The slow jets were completely clogged before I rebuilt them but are fine now. I ran the bike without a pump before and it ran great. I have 1000RR to ride but this f3 was a gift after I started my life over completely being clean and sober 4 years ago. This bike helped save my life. I need help saving it's life now. Any ideas are GREATLY appreciated

 

you might want to check the feed to the floater chamber or the fuel filter. It sounds like it needs extra force to get some fuel into the carburators.
A choke creates extra vacuum to enrich the mixture, or to get any fuel at all.
If you have removed the pump, do you have any other restriction between the tank and the carburators?

 

Just the filter and it seems to be flowing fine to that point. I actually lucked up on a pump earlier today so I plan on installing it tomorrow with the hopes of clearing up the issue. I've never had an issue I couldn't figure out on a bike but I'm stumped. Thank you for responding and ant other suggestions are welcome

 

The reason I think it is the fuel supply to the floaterchambers is because after a quarter mile these are most likely to be empty. running stationary doe not cost that much fuel, hoewever pulling up to speed costs a lot. A slight restriction may not be able to keep up with that possible fuel restriction.
