Default 97 F3 putts out when you take choke off...

Ill give you the whole story so you get the full picture. It had been about a full week since i rode it. (motorcycle abuse) Yesterday, I pulled it out and it started right up and seemed to run fine even when i turned the choke off after warming up. As I rode down my street it started to bog out once the rpm got to somewhere between 4000 and 5000 in first gear. I pulled over at the corner and it choked out. I started it back up without choke but it only ran for a few seconds then bogged back out again. At that point i didnt want to make whatever the problem is worse so I started walking the bike back home. When I got home I took the gas tank off and checked the air box. I thought maybe a mouse made a nest in it, but that wasnt it. So i put the tank back on and started the bike with full choke and it seemed fine until you take the choke off then it just putts out. And thats about as far as I got last night.

Anyone know what this might be?

Even though it doesn't sound like it sat long enough for varnish, it's got to be plugged jets. Maybe a piece of schmegma got in there? When you put the choke on you're providing the fuel it needs and can't get through normal channels.

So it sounds like your saying i need to pull the carbs and give them a real good cleaning, pulling each main and pilot jet from each carb and making sure fuel can get through?
