Thanks....

switched from DR800, so far not more than 100km on it (nice riding position, though), I am struggling to revive her full HP output since I happened to buy a Switzerland 70PS version...

Welcome!

Hopefully our European members have some ideas to help you get your bike sorted out.
In the meantime, have a good look around the forum.

Hi and welcome.

As for the restriction, I know that the Germans tend to put in a restrictor in the carburetor inlet rubbers.

The "restrictors" are just four (one for each carburator) shims/plates with a small hole in the mittle - as in a big washer.

The much smaller hole in the mittle restricts the amount of air/fuel that can be put into the cylinders. Smaller hole - less HP ?

Mind you that on some German bikes - as fx. the GSX 1100 EFE (aprox. 1985-87) they also have put in some restricted cams - less lumpy cams - and therefore less HP.

And even further they also have a tendency to also restrict the outlet - narrow diameter on the exhaust pipes.

So several methods are possible - but my best guess is to look for the inlet rubbers between the carbs and the cylinderhead on the SC24.

Best of luck . . .

/dan

Welome to the CBR Forum bc30se.

The SC24 - in my humble opinion is one of the prettiest of the CBR1000F line. 70ps is not enough oomph for such a big bike, so as suggested above there must be physical restrictors in place - and probably in the inlets. I can't tell you where they are exactly as I'm from Australia and have not come across this before, but I'm sure we will have a European member or two who will be able to point you in the right direction. Kawasaki used to cast extra plastic in the carby caps so the slides couldn't rise all the way. 10 minutes with a lathe fixed that!

Cheers, SB

Thank you guys...

I know what to look for.....

1. I changed camshafts (different on SW)
2. got rid of the 'AIS' system
3. rejetted the carb (SW carb is nice and I will leave it, it has a system reducing exhaust backfires and popping.
4. Ignition module is different.. that's why a question here https://cbrforum.com/forum/cbr-1000f...rences-143010/

Can you say which one is 135PS, a dot one or without a dot??? Would be nice to know..
