Alright, before starting a thread or anything like that, I figured I would ask here.
My friend pointed out a "tic"ing noise coming form the motor, I didn't pick up on it until he pointed it out. The noise is comparable to lifter tic in car. The tic is also rises with the rpms. I did a little research and found out that the f4is go through ccts like fat cop on a book donuts.
If anyone knows the link to a thread about the ccts please let me know, also if there is other common things that could be generating the tic let me know.

Thanks,
Rob

Thanks mike for the link. however I'm trying to determin if it is the cct or the valves need to be adjusted. The bike has 23k miles on it and I dought the previous owner ever checked the clearances.

You can do the "long-handled screwdriver as stethsescope" trick. Put the tip on
various places, put your ear to the handle and try pin-pointing where the sound
is loudest. That will give you a better idea, by location, of what the issue is.

Ah, you're right, I should just pull it apart and do it regardless and figure out what else is going on it there. Think I will wait until the car is done first tho.
