Red face hello... and instantly i need assistance!!!

hi all, ive recently bought a 1999 CBR600F... all is well with the bike and i truly believe i made the right choice in buying her.

Just a couple of mechanical questions...

1. what grade/type of oil should i put in the engine?
it was serviced before i got the bike but they filled it to the minimum line ( tight ! ) im planning on doing some milage on her next week with the mrs as pillion and would rather make sure there is more than the minimum level required.
2. how do you stiffen the rear shock, as ill be carring the mrs next week for a little tour of the east of england...

thanks for any assistance

graham

welcome to the site graham! new users must accumulate 100 posts before receiving answers to mechanical questions.

just kidding. for better visibility, post up your questions in the forum for your model bike -- the experts are always happy to assist. also, there should be a sticky around here somewhere with links to online owners manuals.
