Could use some assistance...
Hello. I'm new to this, hoping to find my husband a bike for when he gets back from Iraq. I was thinking a 600, but am not sure from there. I would like something that I could learn how to ride as well. A bike that is somewhat comfy for the passenger would be great as well, since I'm sure that is where I will usually be. Any information would be very helpful. We are working with a very modest budget. Thank you! ~Amanda
welcome to the site! i think that's totally awesome that you want to surprise your husband with a bike after his service in iraq. i salute the both of you! as far as a suggested bike for the two of you, i would recommend a f4i. sounds to me like neither one of you have an motorcycling experience. the f4i is a gentler 600 than the 600rr (not to mention much more comfortable for the passenger!) and is an excellent all-around bike. the purchase price is very reasonable and the insurance is not overly insane. hope this helps and good luck with the bike search.
by the way, you may want to discuss your 600 choice with pitsvtec. she is a member/moderator on here who rides a f4i and her man is also a member and rides a 600rr. i'm sure that she would be helpful to you in choosing the right bike.

welcome to the forum! and yes... very very cool of you to do this for your husband
i'd have to agreet with NINE2NINE... the F4i is probably what you're looking for. good luck in your search!

Welcome
That is awesome you are going to do that for him. I would also agree with the F4i. I love my RR but it isn't the best for a passenger. My wife doesn't like how much it leans down and it is hard to ride for a long time on it for her.
