More rambling:

I took the Idaho STAR Basic II course last Saturday. It's a 1-day class split pretty close to half-and-half classroom vs. riding. I thought it was a very good class, and recommend it to any Idahoans who have basic motorcycle operating skills, but are new to street riding (or even just want to practice a bit if you've been out of the game a while).

I rode one of the STAR motorcycles because, for some unknown reason, my insurance man still hasn't sent me my insurance card (they won't let you ride your own bike w/o that). All the bikes they have are either standard or cruiser 250s (Suzukis and Kawasakis), or fat-tire Yamaha dual-sports. They're good learning bikes.

My jacket arrived, and it seems like a pretty good item, particularly for the $80 price tag. I should have a pair of Spidi pants here by this weekend as well. I'm so pleased that it's still sunny and really fairly warm here. I need an extra sweatshirt, but it's no problem to ride to work and back yet.

This motorcycle thing is great!
